Chiropractic works in a similar fashion. Often a patient will exclaim after a visit '…doc, that last adjustment really did it, I feel better already.' In reality, it wasn't just the ONE adjustment that did the trick - the past ones contributed, as will the future ones. The effect is cumulative.

Today marks
an important milestone in our company history. 5
years ago today, Dr. Hokanson formed Back to Basics
Chiropractic. This of course, has all been possible
because of the wonderful people we've met in the
Brainerd Lakes Area.

Yesterday, September 18th,
marks the 116th anniversary of Chiropractic. On
this day in 1895, the first chiropractic
adjustment was given by Dr. DD Palmer, a
magnetic healer of the time, to Harvey Lillard.
Mr. Lillard was nearly totally deaf for 17 years
and after the historic first adjustment,
Harvey's hearing returned!

We will be closing early, at 1pm, on December 24th and will be closed Christmas Day as well as Friday the 26th so that we can spend the holidays with our families. We will be back in the office Monday morning at 7:30am.
We will also be closed New Year’s Day as well the January 2nd. We wish you the happiest of holidays and look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Dr. Hokanson Joins the Brainerd Lakes Chamber Business to Consumer Group

Today was the Brainerd Lakes Chamber’s
first meeting for one of their new networking
groups, ChamberNet B2C. The group’s focus
is to allow businesses to make new connections,
establish new relationships, and provide quality
referrals to one another. This group is similar
to the popular BNI groups, but differs in many
aspects. If this sounds interesting, let Dr.
Hokanson know and he can point you in the right
direction for more information. You can also
attend one of the meetings as a guest and
introduce yourself and your business to the

LYN Group Concert in Pillager for supporting and
